I'm an artist and designer based in the Bay Area.
My art practice uses photographic materials and ideas — though it's rarely straight photography — and tends to circle around decision-making, failure, and what gets left out. My work has been shown in California, New York, Mexico, and England, and I've curated recent exhibitions at Bass & Reiner Gallery (SF) and the Bolinas Museum.
My art background informs how I approach design. I build websites, printed matter, and visual identities for artists, galleries, and small creative businesses — with an emphasis on portfolio sites that look and function beautifully. I work collaboratively and care about getting details right. Recent projects have been built on modern headless systems (Sanity, Next.js, Vercel) — faster, more flexible, and more durable than traditional site builders, with free hosting and no monthly platform fees.
I'm also a skilled photographer, comfortably shooting studio and product work, documentation, process shots, and portraiture.
Currently, I'm an adjunct professor at CCA – and previously at SFAI, UC Davis, and San José State — teaching across disciplines, with a focus on visual literacy and how ideas translate across media.
If you'd like to discuss your project, or just want to kick around creative ideas I'd be happy to freely talk it through.
